This #GivingTuesday, popular American e-commerce platform focused on handmade or vintage items, Etsy, launched an impactful campaign to support sellers who have been impacted by natural disasters.
In partnership with a nonprofit organization called CERF+, which focuses on helping artists prepare and recover from emergencies, Etsy has created a Disaster Relief Fund for sellers who have seen their business disrupted by federally declared natural disasters. Sellers can apply to this fund to receive monetary support from the platform to help keep their business afloat.
On #GivingTuesday, Etsy contributed $250,000 to the fund and matched up to $50,000 in donations made in order to increase the level of support available for artists and entrepreneurs in need. Etsy’s commitment to supporting its community is not only inspiring but strengthens brand loyalty, ensuring continued support from artists worldwide.
